Weaving words.
Connecting people.
Aligning purpose.
Seeking clarity and connection in your work? My consulting services sit at the intersection of strategy, learning, and communication, be that in helping funders refine their practices and processes; nonprofits grow their leaders; or strategic meeting design and facilitation. As a writer, I offer storytelling and brand narratives through thoughtful copywriting and copyediting. I see this work as deeply relational, and believe collaboration creates stronger communication. By centering our shared humanity in any work, we can bring people, words, and purpose into alignment.

“Kerry has been such a steady partner. She has a beautiful ability to see, sense, surface, and synthesize the themes, undercurrents, and drivers that so often go unnoticed. Her deep listening and kind observations amaze me as she can hold so much information without ever losing track of the details, all while drawing meaningful connections and honoring the complexity of it all.”
Leigh Adams, Executive Director at Ausherman Family Foundation
“Kerry is a gifted facilitator who keeps you engaged and genuinely wanting more through her beautifully designed curriculum. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her on numerous projects, and as a peer in philanthropy, I’m consistently impressed by her subject-matter expertise and her ability to make complex ideas feel relatable and actionable. She is a talented writer and an incredibly skilled facilitator. This work is a beautiful blend of all her strengths.”
Why “Textus Collective”?
The Latin word “textus” means woven or web, a framework, a connection. (And because early books were bound stacks of woven materials, it is also the root of the word “text” in English today.) As a word nerd with a mental Rolodex that’s always spinning and weaving across people and ideas, what better way to tie the threads of my work together?
I believe in the power of collaboration and collective action. “Small is all,” said adrienne marie brown, but look at how large a murmuration can be when thousands of small actions move together. The “collective” refers to this shared learning and shared work; though I work in partnership with many organizations and consultants, I am technically a solo practitioner.
